Michael Patrick Porter is a licensed architect with a degree in urban planning from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and is a John S. Bolles Fellow of the California Council of the American Institute of Architects. He serves on the committee for the Monterey Design Conference the bi-annual gathering of architects from around the world. Michael designs commercial and residential projects throughout Southern California. Fascinated by art his entire life, he has served on a variety of nonprofit art-related boards including the Museum of Contemporary Art Santa Barbara, the Newport Harbor Art Museum (now the Orange County Museum of Art), California State University Long Beach’s University Art Museum Advisory Board and the Santa Barbara Museum of Art. Michael is also an advisor to 2023 Visions an organization devoted to harnessing the artistic imagination to create new paradigms and new models of society.
